Emily WestfallRobert CampobassoSegal McCambridge Singer and Mahoney, Ltd. is pleased to welcome Robert Campobasso and Emily Westfall as associates in its Chicago office.

  • Robert Campobasso is an associate attorney focusing his practice on the defense of toxic tort matters. He has extensive experience in all aspects of case management, including trial preparation, and negotiation. Previously, he served as a public defender at Kendall County Office of the Public Defender in Yorkville, IL, where he conducted dozens of felony and misdemeanor jury and bench trials, and handled over 700 criminal misdemeanor, felony, and juvenile cases from discovery stage through trial and sentencing. Mr. Campobasso received his J.D. from the John Marshall Law School (2008). He holds a B.S. in Criminology from Marquette University (2005).  He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.
  • Emily Westfall is an associate attorney focusing her practice the defense of toxic tort claims. Before joining the firm, Ms. Westfall gained experience in general litigation, corporate, and transactional law in-house as an intern for an academic hospital and as an extern for a pharmaceutical company. Ms. Westfall was active in moot court throughout law school and gained further experience as a client advocate by co-authoring an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court. As an undergraduate, Ms. Westfall co-founded the Kansas State University Mock Trial Team and volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, working with guardians ad litem to serve Kansas children in need. Ms. Westfall is fluent in Spanish. She earned her J.D. at Boston University School of Law and her B.A. in modern languages from Kansas State University, magna cum laude. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association. Ms. Westfall is committed to community service and previously served as an interpreter for a free medical clinic. She has run two marathons and twice climbed Longs Peak, Colorado.
