Momkus McCluskey, LLC announces promotion of Jennifer L. Friedland to partner

Jennifer L. FriedlandMomkus McCluskey, LLC is pleased to announce the promotion of Jennifer L. Friedland to the position of Partner. Prior to her partnership, Ms. Friedland was an Associate Attorney at Momkus McCluskey, LLC for nearly eight years. She focuses her practice in commercial and business litigation, civil litigation, and appellate law.

Most recently, Ms. Friedland has achieved success at the trial and appellate court levels in a breach of contract case wherein she defended a manufacturer of parts to be used by the United States Army in mine-resistant ambush protected vehicles. Ms. Friedland also prevailed in an appeal of a summary judgment order entered pursuant to the Illinois Trade Secrets Act.  She has presented oral argument before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Illinois Second District Appellate Court.

Ms. Friedland graduated from Tulane University Law School in 2006 and earned an Environmental Law Certificate and was awarded the Community Service Award for Commitment to Public Service. Her undergraduate degree was obtained in 2001, magna cum laude, from the University of Kentucky.  

Ms. Friedland is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association, and the Illinois Association of Appellate Lawyers. She is currently the Chair of the Appellate Law Committee of the DuPage County Bar Association. She has acted as general counsel for the National Association of Down Syndrome since 2010.

Ms. Friedland lives in Wheaton, Illinois with her husband and fellow attorney, David Friedland, and their two children.
