Arnstein & Lehr LLP Welcomes New Associate in Chicago

Joseph HoolihanThe national law firm of Arnstein & Lehr LLP welcomes Joseph L. Hoolihan to its Chicago office as an associate in the Litigation Practice Group.

“We are thrilled to have Joseph join our firm. His legal skills will allow us to deepen the services we provide to clients,” said Michael Gesas, Managing Partner of Arnstein & Lehr LLP’s Chicago office.

Mr. Hoolihan chose to join Arnstein because, he says, “When I was searching for a job after law school, I was looking for a firm where I could grow and develop as a trial attorney, that possessed superb attorney-mentors, and that offered a broad range of commercial litigation work. Arnstein has each of these qualities in spades, so the decision was a no-brainer.”

Before joining the firm, Mr. Hoolihan was a judicial extern to the Honorable Marvin Aspen at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. As a judicial extern, he worked closely with Judge Aspen and his law clerks, gaining valuable insights into the judicial process and how judges decide cases. In addition, Mr. Hoolihan clerked at a prominent Chicago law firm where he handled a variety of commercial litigation matters. Mr. Hoolihan also served as a member of Northwestern’s Bartlit Center Trial Team. On the Trial Team, he competed in two national mock trial competitions against some of the best student advocates in the country.

Mr. Hoolihan earned his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law in 2015 and his B.A. in Political Science from University of Colorado in 2012.
