Arnstein & Lehr LLP bolsters Bankruptcy Practice

William A. WilliamsThe national law firm of Arnstein & Lehr LLP welcomes William A. Williams to its Chicago office as an associate in the Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights and Litigation Practice Groups.

“We are excited to welcome Bill to Arnstein & Lehr,” said Michael L. Gesas, Managing Partner of Arnstein’s Chicago office.

Mr. Williams chose to join Arnstein because, he says, “As a newly minted lawyer, I was looking for two things. First, I sought an environment in which I would be challenged to step outside of my comfort zone and grow as an attorney each and every day. Second, I wanted a chance to contribute real value to a team early in my career. In my opinion, Arnstein & Lehr strikes a fantastic balance, offering both highly sophisticated work and early opportunities for substantive experience.”

Before joining the firm, Mr. Williams interned with The Coca-Cola Company’s legal department, where he advised clients within the company on a wide range of legal issues. In addition, Mr. Williams served as judicial intern to the Honorable William S. Duffey at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. As a judicial intern, he researched and analyzed matters of state and federal law, reviewed motions and briefs, and drafted orders in criminal and civil cases. He also worked as a tax clerk at a prominent law firm in Atlanta, where he assisted with a variety of international tax matters. Mr. Williams served as the Submissions Editor of the University of Virginia’s Journal of Law & Politics and captain of the Virginia Law Consulting Team.

Mr. Williams earned his B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science from Auburn University in 2012 and received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2015.
