Nolan Seymore Lipsky 1944-2016

Nolan Seymore Lipsky Nolan Seymore Lipsky, 71, of Petersburg, passed away on Sunday morning April 10, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Chicago on August 3, 1944 to Mandel and Ruth Meizel Lipsky. Nolan married Bobbie Cheaney on April 26, 2003 in Springfield and she survives.

Mr. Lipsky is also survived by three sons: Matthew Lipsky of Springfield, Ben (Kim) Lipsky of Lake of the Hills, IL., and Jeff (Woorim) Lipsky of South Korea, one daughter Rose (Beuford) Moore of Springfield, one cousin Myron Greenbaum, and two grandchildren: Autumn and Joseph. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Nolan graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and also from Kent Law School in 1969. He served his country as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force. Mr. Lipsky served two terms as Menard County States Attorney and he was in private practice for over forty years. He was a member of the Illinois Bar Association, he loved Illini football and basketball, the Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks. Mr. Lipsky was of the Jewish faith.

Services have been held. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Temple Israel or to Petersburg Rural Fire, P.O. Box 343, Petersburg, IL. 62675.
