James Williams 1928-2017

James "Jim" Williams, 88, of Hinsdale, Illinois, passed away Friday August 18, 2017. James was born December 15, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to Fred and Frances Williams. He graduated from St. Rita High School in 1946. He graduated DePaul University in 1951 with a J.D. He served in the United States Army stationed in Germany from 1951-1953. On January 6, 1962, he married Hannelore (Wehlus) in Chicago, Illinois.

James became an attorney in Illinois, working at Foote Cone Belding, and US Gypsum. He spent 21 years at American Bakeries as senior legal counsel and chief financial officer. He also worked for Doty and Jarrow and for Charles D. Spencer and Associates as he returned to business community after retirement.

James was a Knight of Columbus 3rd degree and enjoyed volunteering through his parish St. Isaac Jogues. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He often attended St. Rita High School reunions to visit with friends and classmates. He will be remembered by his devotion to his wife, family and community.
