Mr. Hinch was previously with the engineering firm Sheaffer International in Glen Ellyn and served as Operations Manager/In-house Counsel. Mr. Hinch is a 2007 graduate of IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, and a member of the Illinois Bar. Patrick Richards is pleased to announce the opening of Richards Patent Law in Chicago. Patrick opened Richards Patent Law in 2009 after serving as a partner with McDermott Will & Emery LLP where he concentrated his practice on patent prosecution, counseling, opinion work and litigation. At McDermott, Patrick managed international patent portfolios for several major corporations, as well as a number of small and medium sized businesses. In addition to his extensive patent prosecution experience, Patrick has counseled numerous clients on matters concerning: patent portfolio acquisition and management; patent portfolio licenses, sales and purchases; joint development agreements; freedom to practice opinions; patentability opinions; non-infringement opinions; and employment and non-compete agreements. Patrick received his law degree from the University of Virginia, School of Law and a bachelors of science in civil engineering, with honors, from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Richards Patent Law handles all non-litigious patent related matters, focusing on providing cost effective solutions for businesses of all sizes.

He received his J.D., summa cum laude, from St. Louis University School of Law and his LL.M. in Taxation from Washington University School of Law. Gary is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the United States Tax Court, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits, the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Illinois and the Eastern District of Missouri, and all Illinois and Missouri state courts. Prior to joining Summers Compton Wells PC, Gary was a partner with Hepler Broom, formerly known as Hepler, Broom, MacDonald, Hebrank, True & Noce, LLC, where he worked for nearly 17 years.

She was the first female judge in Lake County. During her years on the bench, Ms. Waller served a term as the Chief Judge of the Circuit and for 10 years she served as the Chief Presiding Judge of the Family Court. Ms. Waller received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Trinity College in Washington, DC. She holds a Masters in Teaching degree from Northwestern University and a Law degree, with honors, from the University of Illinois College of Law. She is a member of the Illinois Chapter of the Order of the Coif. Former Cook County State's Attorney Richard A. Devine has joined Resolute Systems, LLC's Chicago office to provide mediation, arbitration, and Alternative Dispute Resolution services, the company announced. Mr. Devine, a partner at Meckler Bulger Tilson Marick & Pearson LLP, will concentrate his mediation practice on the resolution of complex commercial, public entity, employment and products liability disputes. "Mediation is an important alternative to litigation. It gives adversaries a vehicle for resolving disputes short of going to court and helps unclog our judicial system," said Dick Devine.
