Mensch’s entertainment and intellectual property practice includes transactions and brand protection for television broadcasters, record and commercial music producers as well as technology companies serving the entertainment industry. She represents high-profile artists and recently produced – as well as provided legal representation – for the film Maya Angelou: And I Still Rise, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January. She joins from Bryan Cave.

Chuhak & Tecson, P.C., is pleased to announce that Principal Eileen Sethna will lead the firm’s 28-attorney banking practice group beginning June 1. She replaces Josh Hyman, a principal who started the banking group in 2002 and who will continue with the firm.

Sethna came to Chuhak & Tecson five years ago, having already distinguished herself with a successful career as a bankruptcy attorney and a seasoned trial lawyer. She also serves as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois, appointed by Attorney General Lisa Madigan.

Expanding the depth of corporate and securities practices, partner Vanessa Schoenthaler will anchor SFGH’s New York office and growing securities practice. Several of the firm’s New York licensed attorneys will be spending significant time in its New York office. Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney is pleased to announce that seasoned litigator Ben Thames, Jr. has joined the firm as the managing shareholder of its St. Louis office. Mr. Thames brings more than 14 years of experience in mass tort, environmental, and other litigation to the firm.

Mr. Thames has led the defense of companies faced with a wide range of claims including alleged exposure to asbestos, benzene, chromium, diacetyl and coal dust. He also has significant experience with premises and products liability cases. Mr. Thames joins Segal McCambridge following a long tenure at the St. Louis office of Hawkins Parnell Thackston and Young, where the predominance of his work focused on the defense of toxic tort claims.

Patrow advises business entities on tax strategies during business formation and transactions. He is experienced in acquisitions, dispositions, financings, private equity transactions, and domestic and international joint ventures.

He also represents private equity and hedge fund sponsors in connection with the formation and operation of investment funds and the acquisition and disposition of investments. Additionally, he advises venture capital investors on the tax implications of their investments in operating companies and counsels operating companies on their funding by venture capital and angel investors.

Lopez also focuses on defense of complex wage and hour claims, including collective actions under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and class actions under the law of many different states.
