The Joseph Story Law School Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity at DePaul University College of Law recently held its 5th Annual Founder's Day Auction at Petterino's.  This event commemorated the 107th anniversary of the founding of the Chapter.  In accordance with the fraternity's mission of service to the community, the students directed that a portion of the proceeds from the event be donated to the Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women's Network. At the conclusion of the event, a check for $2,000 was presented to the Network, an organization which not only administers the City of Chicago/State of Illinois 24-hour, toll-free Domestic Violence Help Line, which has assisted over 100,000 women and children in need since its inception in 1998, but also spearheads advocacy efforts to improve the practices of the legal system in regards to domestic violence issues.
